WhatsApp Set to Introduce Offline File Sharing Feature

WhatsApp, the messaging app under Meta’s umbrella, has an exciting update in the works. They’re developing a nifty feature that will allow you to share files even when you’re offline. According to recent leaks, soon you’ll be able to effortlessly share photos, videos, music, and documents without needing an internet connection.

This new feature is designed to make file sharing hassle-free, even without Wi-Fi or data. And the best part? Your shared files will be encrypted for added security, keeping them safe from any unwanted tampering.

Leaked screenshots from the latest test version of WhatsApp for Android give us a glimpse of the permissions required for this feature. One key aspect is its ability to detect nearby phones with the same offline file-sharing capability, making it even more convenient to share files with friends and family.

To make this feature function on Android devices, WhatsApp requires permission to utilize Bluetooth for device detection. However, if you’re not comfortable with that, you always have the option to disable it.

Prior to this update, WhatsApp introduced a feature allowing users to pin notes for quick access. It seems like WhatsApp is constantly innovating to enhance the chatting experience with new and exciting features!
