4 Easy No-Bake Summer Treats for Kids

Rainbow Pudding Pops

Let’s start with a super cool, creamy, and colorful treat – rainbow pudding pops! To make these, we’ll start by adding 6 cups of milk to a large mixing bowl. Then, we’ll pour in two boxes of instant vanilla pudding mix and use an electric hand mixer to whip it all together.

Next, we’ll divide the pudding mixture into 5 individual bowls and add a different food coloring to each one. Once the colors are mixed in, we’ll layer about 1 tablespoon of each colored pudding into small paper cups, tapping the cups on the counter to help the layers settle.

After adding a popsicle stick to each cup, the entire tray goes into the freezer for at least 4-5 hours, or overnight if possible. When you’re ready to enjoy these pudding pops, simply peel off the paper cup and dig in! Just be warned – they melt super fast on a hot summer day.

Watermelon Rice Krispie Treats

For this summer twist on a classic no-bake treat, we’ll start with the typical rice crispy treat ingredients – marshmallows and butter. After melting those together in the microwave, we’ll divide the mixture into two batches.

To one batch, we’ll add green food coloring to mimic the rind of a watermelon. We’ll press this green mixture into the edges of two round cake pans, leaving a spot open in the center. For the second batch, we’ll use red food coloring to create the “watermelon” part. This red mixture will go in the center of the pans.

To finish it off, we’ll sprinkle some mini chocolate chips on top to look like watermelon seeds. After letting the treats harden for about an hour, we’ll cut them into wedges and insert a popsicle stick into each one for easy, portable snacking.

Sour Patch Grapes

This sweet and tangy treat is a TikTok sensation! All you need are grapes and Jello in your choice of flavors. First, we’ll wash the grapes and remove them from the stem. Then, we’ll set up an assembly line with a bowl for each Jello flavor.

One by one, we’ll dip the grapes in water and then roll them in the Jello powder. The more powder that sticks, the sweeter the grape will be. After coating all the grapes, we’ll let them chill in the fridge for about an hour so the Jello can harden into a crunchy shell.

The end result is a grape that tastes a lot like a Sour Patch Kid candy – sweet and sour goodness!

Blueberry Bagel Bites

This last treat is a cross between a bagel bite and a fruit pizza. We’ll start with some mini blueberry bagels, splitting them in half. Then, we’ll make a simple “sauce” by mixing together cream cheese and strawberry jam.

After spreading this creamy, cheesecake-like mixture onto the bagel halves, it’s time for the fun toppings. Instead of pepperoni and cheese, we’ll be using fresh fruit like strawberries, kiwi, and pineapple, all cut into small pieces.

The sweet and juicy fruit paired with the soft bagel and creamy “sauce” makes for a delightful summer treat. No baking required!

I hope these fun and easy no-bake recipes inspire you to get creative in the kitchen with your kids this summer. With simple ingredients and minimal effort, you can whip up tasty treats that are perfect for hot weather. Enjoy!
